STITCHES

Last night as we were going through our nightly routine, I heard Addi holler from the kitchen, “Call the Police, Call the Police, Call the Police.”  I went to check out the situation and Owa was mopping up blood from the floor with a roll of paper towels.  At the triplet’s school they collect pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House, and Addi sliced up her thumb trying to get the top off of a cream of chicken soup can.  I took her into urgent care and the doctor put 5 stitches in her little ol thumb.  I have to change her bandage three times a day.  I am terrible at stuff like this.  I can hardly look at the wound without getting sick.  I have a friend whose finger tip was sliced off in a sliding glass door when she was young.  The funniest part of her recollecting the story is when she tells about her mom hollering to her siblings to find the finger.  Thankfully they found the finger and the doctor stitched it back on.  FIND THE FINGER kept going through my head as I drove Addi to urgent care.  If anything really serious ever happens I hope I can step up to the challenge!

Wrapped up tightly in the papoose board (that’s a fancy word for straight jacket!)  Pincky is under there with her.  She requested that Clayton sing her “the bear song”.  It was really cute.  The nurse even joined in in on the echo part.

We did “grandkid” pics this summer for my mom.  After 1/2 hour the subjects started melting down and the milkshake bribes stopped working.  Thankfully, Courtney Jean Photography, worked her magic quickly!  Nana has two more grandbabies on the way.  Can’t wait to do this all again.

The Claw

We were having lunch with my uncle at one of our favorite little pizza restaurants right around the corner from our house. Don't ever play that game. You never win. This was my advice to Eli, Addi, and Owa as I handed them quarters to play some video games. I explained that "the claw" as it is referred to in Toy Story, is just a big waste of money. So much for my good advice.

Van Project II

Sorry for the delay, but yes we do have AC in the van! The entire dash was put back together a week ago minus about 5 screws that Clayton assures me do not matter. Due to a minor set back however it was only today that JD, yes we name our vehicles, started blowing cold air. Monday I took the van into the shop to charge up the AC but there was a leek. I had to call Clayton and be the bearer of the bad news. I swear I heard his heart sink over the phone! Dan, the all knowing car guy thought the leek was due to the O rings being too small and Clayton changed them out last night and WALA the AC held the charge. We are all set for our west coast road trip!

All clear - she drives

Here we go again!

Addi and Owa test out the AC!

May - One BIG Celebration

May was one big party. I meant to post this last month but you know how that goes right?

6th Birthday Party at the Aquatic Center

On their actual birthday we had ANOTHER party. Our family went to Chuck E. Cheese. Clayton and I kept having basketball shootouts and I think we had more fun than the kids

Owa made Clayton a Party Hat on his birthday

Goin to work with daddy on a Saturday Morning. Clayton always lets them pick something from the vending machine. They think his work is the coolest.

Addi beating the heat at Crown Center

Avani's dance performance: We all went to dinner before. Christy and the kids left the next day to California. Darshan switched jobs. (I wasn't celebrating this move)

Meena's graduation. She graduated one week and got a GREAT job the next! Way to go Meena!

Clayton performed at the kids school - He rocked their socks off

The kids just wanted me to add this one

Flowers from my girls on Mothers day. They made me cards at church and Olivia addressed my card as Amy not mom

First day of Kindergarten

Almost the last day of Kindergarten

Celebration at the station! We love going to hear the Kansas City Symphony play over memorial weekend every year!

Van project - 1/2 point

The evaporator on our van went out! If you're not mechanically inclined like me the evaporator is a part of the air conditioner that helps cool down the car. (I think) It was going to cost more than the value of the car to have the $100 part replaced so Clayton decided to take on the BIG job. He is halfway there. As soon as everything is put back together I will post another video.
