Backpack Treasures

After school our ritual is to start homework right away. While the triplets are working on their spelling words I go through their packs and ask them about their day. Recently I found these treasures that made me giggle.

Eli had an assignment to write a thank you note to those that helped him through First Grade. He has never watched the Academy Awards show but it sounds like he wrote an acceptance speech for winning an oscar!

Each night I have to sign my name vouching that they did their reading homework. I forgot one day and Owa did it for me on the bus. Can you tell which day is her forgery? Not bad huh.

I thought I posted the beautiful oops post last week and when I returned to blogger today it was not posted but was a draft. So if you already got that post I apologize for the repetition.

Addi's Beautiful Oops

While drawing an owl Addi became upset when it didn't turn out how she envisioned. She got mad and cut it out of her drawing book. She then proceeded to make her unexpected girl/spiderweb masterpiece.

(The owl that got cut out)

The face that took the owls place. On the other page she did a spider & web.

Flip the page in her book and wa la -you get hair for the girl and a great new masterpiece.

After she did this, I told her it was a "beautiful oops". We had only seen the video but guess what book
Addi got for her birthday?
